Review: Glen Grant 15 Year (Cadenhead)

by Chris Perugini

Going through my backlog of reviews, here’s a recent one from my trip to The Flatiron Room in NYC. This is a 15 Year ex-bourbon Glen Grant bottled by Cadenhead. I expected this to be light and fruity and as you’ll see, I was right on the money.

Glen Grant 15 Year (Cadenhead) - 55.8%
Category Notes
Appearance Gold
Nose Orchard fruits, vanilla, cinnamon, slightly minty, chopped hay, heather
Taste An absolute fruit bomb, apples, pears, strawberries, malty, bourbony vanilla, light baking spice.
Finish A bit hot, good length, more apples and pears, creamy, mulling spices, maple syrup, drying, nice oak.
Overall Thoughts This delivered exactly what I expected: a light and pleasant fruity malt that's perfect to kick off an evening.
Total Score 87/100
